A-IoT Group – Applied Internet of Things for Industry
The A-IoT Group is a consortium of five Enterprise Ireland Technology Gateways that provide industry with technical capabilities in the Internet of Things.
The Group consists of TEC (Cork Institute of Technology), IMaR (Institute of Technology Tralee), WiSAR (Letterkenny Institute of Technology), MSTG (Waterford Institute of Technology) and COMAND (Athlone Institute of Technology), with a support office in Dublin.
The A-IoT Group delivers a complete offering of IoT technology, working closely with companies as part of their R&D department. One contact point gives industry access to 300 professionals in Software, Hardware, Communications/Networks, Data Analytics, Control, UI/UX and Trialling. The Applied Internet of Things Group is nationwide and is open to companies of any size, nationally and internationally.
The A-IoT Group is affiliated with the Internet of Things European Research Cluster (IERC) and the Future Internet Assembly (FIA).
The A-IoT Group utilises funding from Enterprise Ireland to avail of grants for industry clients in the form of Innovation Vouchers, Innovation Feasibility Studies, and Innovation Partnerships.
Other forms of funding utilised include Horizon 2020 – EU Funding Support, Science Foundation Ireland (SFI), Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) funding. Many clients also choose to directly fund projects for their business.
