Alan McGibney presented a paper at the fifth Workshop on Real-World Wireless Sensor Networks (RealWSN 2013) in Como, Italy 19^th-20^th of September. The workshop brought together researchers and practitioners working in the area of sensor networks, with focus on real-world experiments or deployments of wireless sensor networks. Alan chaired the applications session and presented his research paper titled Wireless Sensor Networks for Building Monitoring Deployment Challenges, Tools, and Experience. The research was well received and the work shop provided the perfect opportunity to discuss the practical challenges with real world deployments of wireless sensor networks.
