Showguider, a Nimbus and CIT spin-out company specializing in event applications using 3D modeling and navigation, has recently agreed to provide services to the world’s premier cycling festival, the Sea Otter Classic, which takes place in Monterey, CA in April. 65,000 visitors, 10,000 athletes, 6,500 campers and 450 exhibitors are expected at the event, and Showguider’s application will be managing their navigation through the event.

Known as a sprawling and energetic “celebration of cycling”, Sea Otter is cycling’s North American season opener. Professional and amateur athletes alike make the annual pilgrimage to Sea Otter to participate in some of the sport’s most competitive and enduring events. Hundreds of pro cyclists, including national, world, and Olympic champions attend Sea Otter to race and meet with fans.

The Sea Otter Classic is also the largest consumer bike exposition in the US. Showguider will provide the festival with an advanced visitor app featuring the company’s unique 3D modeling and navigation, along with new features including a dynamic ‘Media Wall’ that updates with the latest news and social media feeds.
