Nimbus Research Centre calls for Green Deal Partnerships

  • Post category:News

The European Green Deal is Europe’s roadmap for turning climate and environmental challenges into opportunities that aim to increase the efficient use of resources by moving to a clean, circular economy and minimise pollution. To achieve this the EU has set out a number of actions across sectors of our economy, including

  • Investing in environmentally-friendly technologies
  • Supporting industry to innovate
  • Rolling out cleaner, cheaper and healthier forms of private and public transport
  • Decarbonising the energy sector
  • Ensuring buildings are more energy efficient
  • Working with international partners to improve global environmental standards

The Green Deal calls target high TRL with an emphasis on delivering real, tangible solutions that demonstrate significant impact, Nimbus is well placed to support this action with significant experience in leveraging ICT across many of the domains being targeted including, energy, building automation, agriculture, water and citizen engagement.

The Nimbus Centre is leading the EU H2020 DENiM project targeting energy efficient manufacturing and has actively participated in five H2020 projects. Significant experience in proposal development and EU project coordination across FP7 and H2020 programmes. We are currently looking to partner and contribute to consortium targeting the Green Deal calls as well as looking to extend our partner portfolio with innovative industrial and academic partners to support these initiatives.
