Kevin O' Mahony

Research Fellow

Bio

Kevin graduated from the Cork Institute of Technology with a BA (Hons) in Multimedia in 2007 and a MA in Media Design in 2009. Kevin is a Senior Researcher at the Nimbus Research Centre, where he specialises in delivering best practice in UX/UI design strategy to Nimbus Centre’s research and industry partners.

During his time in Nimbus, he has gained technical, research and entrepreneurial expertise having worked on many research and industry funded projects at both national and EU levels. He has supported multiple start-up companies and SME’s through Enterprise Ireland’s funding and industry partnership programmes where he has delivered on over 40 Enterprise Ireland & EU funded projects.

His core research expertise lie in the areas of UX/UI design, user centered design, natural user interfaces, elearning and ubiquitous computing with a particular interest in designing innovative interactive solutions for educational and healthcare domains.
